Editorial comments

  • Did these dignitaries ever write a letter to the President and the Prime Minister after the threatening speech that openly warned 100 crore Hindus if the Police were set aside for 15 minutes ?
  • Have these dignitaries ever uttered a word of protest against Zakir Naik, who has incited many to commit terrorist acts against non-Muslims and especially Hindus and has been the inspiration for many such notorious terrorists ?
  • Have these dignitaries ever written a letter to the Police about the jihad-promoting speeches being made by Imams in mosques after Friday Namaz ? Mosques in France are being sealed because of such speeches !
  • Have these dignitaries ever written such a letter against those who attack Hindus and their temples by ranting ‘Allah Hu Akbar’ (Allah is great) ?
  • Have these dignitaries ever uttered a word of protest in the case of the genocide of the Kashmiri Hindus 3 decades ago which forced them to flee ?
  • Have these dignitaries ever raised their voice against the conversion of tribal and poor Hindus by Christian missionaries by luring them ?

New Delhi –Hindu leaders have made hate speeches against Muslims in programmes held at Haridwar, Raipur, and other places. 100 dignitaries, including 5 former Naval and Air Chiefs, have written a letter to President Ramnath Kovind and Prime Minister Narendra Modi urging them to publicly condemn such provocative statements inciting violence and take stern action against the culprits. These dignitaries include former Naval Chief L Ramdas, Vishnu Bhagwat, Arun Prakash, RK Dhovan, former Air Chief SP Tyagi, as well as former gazetted officers, journalists, lawyers, economists, and others.

The letter said,

We condemn the provocative speeches made by Hindu leaders and Sadhus-Saints in the 3-day Dharma Sansad held at Haridwar. These leaders made statements like ‘For fulfilling the establishment of Hindu Rashtra in India, carry weapons if needed’, ‘Decimate certain community to protect Hindutva’.

Swami Prabodhanand of Hindu Raksha Sena had said in the Dharma Sansad that ‘Police, Army and every Hindu should carry weapons and massacre a particular community like in Myanmar’.

Currently, there is a tense situation on the country’s borders. In such a situation, the provocative statements being made by some people in the country could give an advantage to external forces. Whether it is the Police or the Army, the feeling of unity among them can be shattered by provocative speeches. Therefore, President Ramnath Kovind and Prime Minister Narendra Modi need to take all these issues very seriously.
