New Delhi – At the Vijay Parv Samapan Samaroh on 14th December, Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh met Dhanno Devi, the wife of Colonel Hoshiar Singh honoured with Param Vir Chakra (PVC) for exhibiting exemplary courage in the 1971 war. Mr Singh touched her feet and paid respects to the bravery, valour and sacrifice of her late husband.

Rajnath Singh said further that, Pakistan had lost 1/3rd Military, ½ navy and 1/4th Air Force in the 1971 war with India. This was a very great victory in world history. The Martyrdom of 93 thousand Pakistani soldiers is recognised as ‘Historical Martyrdom’ in world history.
