Hindus reinstall the Shivalinga and Trishul that were uprooted from an ancient religious place by converted Christians

Guwahati (Assam) – Christians had uprooted Shivalinga and Trishul in Mahadev Tila at Katigorah in the Cachar District of Assam. They had also cut down the banyan tree here. Devout Hindu organisations like Hindu Raksha Dal and Hindu Chhatra Sangh have reinstalled Shivalinga and resumed the puja rituals. Also, a new Banyan tree has been planted here.

Khasi community lives on the foothills of north Bareilly in the Cachar District. The majority of people in this community have accepted Christianity. According to the allegations of the Hindus in this area, Khasi people who converted to Christianity have committed this act.
