Sadhus had given a warning that the ‘Ramayan Express’ would be stopped in New Delhi on 12th December if the uniforms were not changed.
“Donning saffron attire with Sadhu-like headgear and wearing ‘malas’ of ‘rudraksha’ (sacred seeds) is an insult to Hindu Dharma and its Seers”, Ujjain Akhada Parishad’s former General Secretary Avdeshpuri said. Dr Ashok Shinde, Sanatan Sanstha’s seeker at Khed (in Ratnagiri), had also objected on this matter in a letter to a Manager of IRCTC. Some senior authority had replied to him that the uniforms will be changed.
