Importance of Chanting

Saint Bhaktaraj Maharaj (Sanatan Sanstha’s seat of faith)

The ‘Name’ is superior to the Vedas, because the Vedas themselves are derived from the Name ‘Omkar’, denoting Supreme God (Parameshwar). Therefore, concentrating on chanting the ‘Name’ (Japa) is more important than the study of Vedas, Upanishads, Geeta or other Scriptures; and ‘Spontaneous chanting (Ajapajapa)’ is the most superior.
