Jamshedpur (Jharkhand) – On 19th September 2021, Vishva Hindu Parishad rescued a Hindu girl from Imamwada who was tied with an iron chain. The girl was brought there by her parents on suspicion of demonic possession, following which, she was tied up by a Muslim cleric named Rafiq. Rafiq used to beat her under the pretext of exorcism.

VHP’s Jamshedpur district President Ajay Gupta alleged that the girl’s parents were being brainwashed to convert. He said, ‘Victim’s parents were defending Rafiq instead of the VHP. We suspect that this girl may have been sexually abused’.
