Prayagraj (Uttar Pradesh) – As per the post-mortem report given by the five doctors, Akhil Bharatiya Akhada Parishad President Mahant Narendra Giri died of suffocation. His neck had a ‘V’ shaped mark indicating suffocation. Police are further investigating the matter. Police have arrested Adya Prasad Tiwari and his son Sandeep Tiwari and produced them in Court, where they have been remanded to judicial custody for 14 days.

‘Bhusamadhi’ to the mortal remains of Mahant Narendra Giri
After the autopsy, the body of Mahant Narendra Giri was handed over to the sadhus who ceremoniously buried in Baghambari Math at Prayagraj. Before his samadhi, his body was taken to the banks of the Ganges and given a bath there. After visiting the Lete Hanumanji temple, the funeral procession reached the Mutt in the afternoon where he was given Bhusamadhi in the presence of many saints, mahants and sages.
