The British created a rift between Hindus and Muslims !

Mumbai – The sensible and wise leaders from the Muslim community should oppose impetuous and superficial statements. They will have to persevere in it. It is our test and we need to give more time to it. The historical fact that foreign invaders brought ‘Islam’ to India must be told, stated Mohan Bhagawat, the Sarsanghchalak of ‘Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS)’. He was addressing a conference held by the ‘Global Strategic Policy Foundation’ at Mumbai on the topic of ‘Rashtra Pratham- Rashtra Sarvatopari (Nation first- Nation everything)’.

The representatives of various Muslim organisations, including Kerala’s Governor Arif Mohammad Khan, Kashmir Kendriya Vidyalaya’s Chancellor Lt General Syed Ata Hasnain participated in this conference.

In his speech, Bhagawat said, “The ancestors of Hindus and Muslims living in India are the same. Muslim leaders should have an outlook of India’s dominance and not just of Muslim dominance. All should work together for achieving the progress and development of this country. The motherland, ancestors, and Indian culture mean Hindu ! Hindu word doesn’t denote a community or a language. It is a tradition which guides on individual progress and development and everyone, who believes in it, is a Hindu.”

Bhagawat also said that the British created confusion and division between Hindus and Muslims. They told the Muslims that if they decided to live with Hindus, they wouldn’t get anything. Only Hindus would be elected. Such British policy motivated Muslims to demand a separate nation for them.
