Paratpar Guru (Dr.) Athavale has advised performing spiritual practice as per Gurukrupayoga (Path of Guru’s grace, which incorporates 8 steps) for rapid spiritual progress. As a result of this and Paratpar Guru (Dr.) Athavale’s blessings, as of 14th July 2021, 111 seekers have attained Sainthood and 1,380 seekers are progressing towards Sainthood (This means, a total of 1,491 seekers have been freed from the cycles of birth and death). This sentence has been published many times in Daily ‘Sanatan Prabhat’ as well as Spiritual texts published by Sanatan Sanstha.
This is just one of the many great missions of Paratpar Guru (Dr.) Athavale. However, considering the uniqueness of this mission, some perspectives were suggested by God on the occasion of Gurupournima. I am offering these at the Holy feet of Paratpar Guru (Dr.) Athavale. |
1. The importance of Paratpar Guru (Dr.) Athavale moulding Saints and seekers from the perspective of Kaliyug
1A. The mission of other great Gurus of Kaliyug, their disciple-families and current followers :
1. There have been some great Gurus who had hundreds of followers in Kaliyug. Many of their disciples were Saints (meaning, at the spiritual level of 70%). Unfortunately, there is no objective statistical data available in this context. There were also many disciples in the tradition of Adi Shankaracharya (The first Shankaracharya – He was a great philosopher, mystic and poet from India. He founded the Advaita Vedant [Non-dualism] School of thought.)
2. Even today there are hundreds of followers in the tradition of these great Gurus who are performing Dharmakarya (Mission of serving Dharma) to some extent. The Ashrams of these Gurus still exist. However, it is impossible to say how many of these followers are at the level of a Saint or a disciple (meaning, at the spiritual level of 55%).
1B. Paratpar Guru (Dr.) Athavale moulded hundreds of disciples or seekers who are at higher spiritual levels.
1B 1. When it is rare to find a true Saint in Kaliyug, Paratpar Guru (Dr.) Athavale moulded 111 Saints : Compared to the above mentioned great Gurus, Paratpar Guru (Dr.) Athavale’s seeker family is small. It is difficult to find a true Saint in Kaliyug. During such adverse times, 111 seekers attained Sainthood in a matter of only 25-30 years by performing spiritual practice as suggested by Paratpar Guru (Dr.) Athavale. This is Paratpar Guru (Dr.) Athavale’s unique and unparallel mission. Such an example cannot be found in the recent times.
1B 2. Thousands of seekers are performing spiritual practice by the grace of Paratpar Guru (Dr.) Athavale : In Sanatan Sanstha, there are a few thousand seekers who are between the spiritual level 55 and 60%, meaning at the disciple level. By the grace of Paratpar Guru (Dr.) Athavale, in addition to these disciple-level seekers, there are 1,380 seekers who are at the spiritual level of 61% and 111 Saints. This is important to increase the spiritual purity in society.
2. Mission of the Incarnates and the mission of Paratpar Guru (Dr.) Athavale
2A. The complete Incarnation of Bhagawan Shrikrushna liberating thousands of jivas (Embodied souls) : In Dwaparyug (The third in the cycle of four Eras since the origin of the Universe), due to the grace of the complete Incarnation of Bhagawan Shrikrushna, many warriors, including the Pandavs, were liberated from the cycles of birth and death after the battle of Mahabharat. At that time, Incarnations of various Deities in the forms of Pandavs, Bhishmacharya, Dronacharya, etc. were active. Since then and till today, there has been no one who has facilitated the path of Moksha (Final Liberation) for seekers on such a large scale. Sanatan’s seekers have had the same great fortune of warriors and gopas-gopis (Cowherd and milkmaid devotees of Shrikrushna) of those times. To lead seekers on the path of Moksha in just 30 years of Sanatan Sanstha is an unfathomable Divine mission of all times !
2B. Paratpar Guru (Dr.) Athavale, who emancipates seekers : The main purpose of Shrikrushna’s Incarnation was to protect virtuous individuals, destroy the evildoers and reinstate Dharma. As narrated by Maharishi, the current Incarnation of Shri Vishnu is in the form of the Guru, meaning, Paratpar Guru (Dr.) Athavale. This Incarnation is mainly for the emancipation of seekers – to free seekers from the cycles of birth and death.
3. Difference between the mission of Sages and that of Paratpar Guru (Dr.) Athavale
There were many great Sages in Satyayug, Tretayug and Dwaparyug. All of them guided jivas which sought spiritual progress on the path of Moksha. But at that time, the jivas had to perform intense spiritual practice. The uniqueness of Sages then was – on occasions, they provided guidance even to Deities and Incarnations. However, with one or two exceptions, they did not directly participate in the mission of reinstating Dharma.
Paratpar Guru (Dr.) Athavale has been guiding seekers on the path to Moksha. At the same time, He is also explaining the importance of establishing the ‘Hindu Rashtra (Divine Rule)’ as their samashti sadhana (Spiritual practice for the spread of Spirituality). Seekers are benefiting from this to accelerate their spiritual progress.
Our experience is that Paratpar Guru (Dr.) Athavale gives priority to the mission of making seekers progress spiritually over the mission of establishing the ‘Hindu Rashtra’. Therefore, Saptarshi, Maharshi Bhrugu etc. feel that the mission of Sanatan is their own mission and they guide Sanatan’s seekers.
