Prime Minister Narendra Modi condoled his demise
Mysuru (Karnataka) – Editor K.V. Sampat Kumar of ‘Sudharma’, the only daily newspaper in Sanskrut, died of heart failure on 30th June. He and his wife S. Jayalakshmi were awarded Padma Shri in 2020. Mr. Amit Shah, Central Home Minister, and Prime Minister have condoled his demise.
PM Modi said in a tweet that K.V. Sampat was an inspiring personality. He put in tireless efforts to popularise Sanskrut among the younger generation. His determination to promote Sanskrut was inspiring.

The daily newspaper ‘Sudharma’ is published in Mysuru. Articles based on topics related to Veda, Yoga, and religion along with cultural news are published in it. A Great Scholar, Pandit Varadraj Ayyangar, had commenced publishing Sudharma on 15th July 1970. K.V. Sampat Kumar was his son.
