25 killed and 7,000 women molested
If the violence had occurred at this magnitude, anyone would wonder why President’s rule was not promulgated in Bengal ?

New Delhi – A report was submitted to the Central Government stating that after the Assembly elections in Bengal, 15,000 post-poll violence incidents occurred, in which 25 people were killed and 7,000 women were molested.
According to the Union Minister of State for Home G Kishan Reddy, a report by the civil society group Call for Justice, headed by the former Chief Justice of Sikkim High Court Justice (Retd.) Premod Kohli stated that the violence was pre-planned. It was a planned conspiracy. Post violence, many people left their homes and took refuge in Assam, Jharkhand, and Odisha. Home Minister will study this report and will try to implement the recommendations made in it.
