- A video showing Abdul Samad being beaten up in Ghaziabad went viral on social media. The Police have alleged that the news in relation to the incident is false. The Police said that Samad had complained about being beaten up by some unknown culprits but he knew them. No incident happened in which Samad was forced to say ‘Jai Shriram’.
- From the Police inquiry, it appears that the victim (Samad) had come on the Loni border on 5th June from Bulandshahar in the Sate. Thereafter, he went to the main accused Parvesh Gujjar’s house at Banthala, along with another individual. After some time Kallu, Poli, Arif, Adil and Mushahid came there and along with Parvesh started beating up Samad. Samad helps people by making amulets. Parvesh’s family was in trouble, hence an amulet was given to Parvesh which did not yield the desired results. This beating was due to the adverse effects of that amulet. In fact, Samad had given such amulets to many villagers.
