Effect of raising voice against injustice by the Arogya Sahayya Samiti
Mumbai – The Maharashtra Government had fixed rates for medical treatment and examination of coronavirus patients. Despite this, the ‘Kulkarni Nidan Diagnostic Center’ at Koparlhairane violated the rules of the Government and charged five people of a family of Jaideep Shedge (including himself), an additinal sum of Rs. 7,500 at the rate of Rs. 1,500 each for CT scans.
The ‘Arogya Sahayya Samiti’ wrote to the concerned diagnostic centre asking it to take appropriate action and reimburse the extra amount to the Shedge family. Mr. Shedge said that he has raised his voice against injustice by taking inspiration from the Online programmes ‘Surajya Ki Or’ organised by ‘Arogya Sahayya Samiti’ and ‘Surajya Abhiyan’.
Mr. Shedge attached all the documents with his complaint and demanded that the excess amount be refunded within 2 days. The ‘Arogya Sahayya Samiti’ also asked the Diagnostic Centre to take immediate cognizance regarding Mr. Shedge’s complaint. According to the Diagnostic Centre, it has refunded Rs. 7,500 to Mr. Shedge.

‘Arogya Sahayya Samiti’ has appealed to all citizens that while going in for a CT scan of the chest and other treatments for coronavirus, it should be ensured that the payment is being made as per the Government’s directives.
