Glimpses of Paratpar Guru (Dr.) Athavale’s Priti for seekers even through simple acts !

Paratpar Guru (Dr.) Athavale

‘Without the Guru there is no disciple and without the disciple there is no Guru’. The Guru’s happiness lies in the disciple’s happiness. The same is true of Paratpar Guru (Dr.) Athavale. Every seeker of Sanatan has experienced His Priti (Spiritual love devoid of expectations) and grace in times of crisis. Our family members and relatives can help us only at the physical and psychological levels to the best of their ability. On the contrary, Sanatan’s seekers get first-hand experience that the Guru relieves His disciples and seekers from all kinds of physical, psychological and spiritual problems.

Actually the seeker is supposed to serve the Guru. Even though Shri Guru is the ‘Doer’ and the One who gets everything done, still regardless of being only at the physical level, the seeker is supposed to take thorough and utmost care of the Guru. Paratpar Guru (Dr.) Athavale has so much affection for seekers that He is constantly doing something for them by remembering their likes-dislikes despite suffering from extreme physical pain. Some incidents given here will explain how seekers get the spiritual experience of Paratpar Guru (Dr.) Athavale’s Priti !

A Bhaktavatsal (Loving the devotees), who takes all-around care of seekers who are sick !

A. Constantly inquiring about the sick seeker so that he does not lack anything : Even though it is not possible for Him to climb the stairs to meet the sick seeker, Paratpar Guru (Dr.) Athavale does so to meet the sick seeker. He meets the seeker and asks him if he needs anything, etc. He asks other seekers to make for him the food he likes. He takes care that the seeker does not lack anything. At the same time, He heals the seeker quickly by finding various healing remedies.

B. Moving the prana (One of the five vital energies involved in the act of inhalation) of the lady-seeker upwards by performing spiritual remedies so that the lady seeker does not suffer while dying : Paratpar Guru (Dr.) Athavale Himself chanted the Name of God to ease the pain of a lady-seeker who was suffering from a chronic illness at the time of death. Hence, she was able to face death with joy without suffering at the time of death. Paratpar Guru (Dr.) Athavale’s Priti has made the life and death of many seekers bearable.

C. A seeker from abroad who was afflicted with a skin disease used to cover his whole body. When the seeker was hesitating to go in front of Paratpar Guru (Dr,) Athavale, He patted the seeker’s back. He asked the seeker to take off his socks to see the extent of his disease. As a result of His love, a new hope of life was created in that seeker.

Buy whatever the bride-to-be likes !

In 2006, I was going to meet a lady- seeker who was about to get married. Before I left, Paratpar Guru (Dr.) Athavale called me and gave me some money and said, “Both of you are going for shopping, buy her whatever she likes. Use this money to eat and drink too. Don’t let anything fall short. I don’t know how much it costs these days. Let me know if you need more money. Give her ice-cream or whatever she likes. On our behalf, do kelvan (A feast before the wedding) for her. Who else will pamper her other than us ?” – Mrs. Manisha Pansare, Ramnathi, Goa.
