Congress MLA Irfan Ansari visits Baba Baidyanath temple one of the 12 Jyotirlingas

BJP MP Nishikant Dubey demands Ansari’s arrest for hurting the religious sentiments of Hindus

It has become necessary to formulate a code of conduct at the national level to ban people from other religions visiting temples only for political gain.

Madhupur (Jharkhand) – A controversy has erupted after Congress MLA Irfan Ansari performed puja at the famous Baba Baidyanath Shiva temple in Deoghar, one of the 12 Jyotirlingas. BJP MP Nishikant Dubey has demanded the arrest of Ansari. Dubey has said, “When non-Muslims cannot enter the mosque at Mecca, then non-Hindus also cannot enter the Baba Baidyanath temple. Ansari has hurt the religious sentiments of the Hindus by entering the temple”. He has demanded immediate arrest of the accused, and also raised the question “How can beef eaters enter the temple?”

MLA Irfan Ansari told the media that, ‘When my mind is restless, then I go to Baba Baidyanath temple to bow my head and worship’. (If Ansari  is a genuine Shiv bhakt will he make such a statement openly and what will be the reaction of his followers, is something to be seen! – Editor)
