Hindu Activists stopped the shooting of a ‘Love Jihad’ scene in a film outside a Temple in Kerala

Film Directed by Fundamentalists,  Muslim League flag outside the Temple

Kerala has a Communist Government, with Hindu temples under their control, which gives the fundamentalists the courage to shoot ‘Love Jihad’ scenes outside the Temples; realising this Hindus should unite to free the temples from Government control.

Palakkad (Kerala) – Activists of Hindu organisations stopped the shooting of a Malayalam film called ‘Neeyam Nadi’ in Sreekrushnapuram. The shooting was going on outside the Vayilyamkunnu Bhagwati Temple at Kadambazhippuram, where a Muslim youth was getting attracted to a Hindu girl coming to the Temple. Since such a shooting was being done outside the Hindu Temple, activists of Hindu organisations protested and stopped the shooting. The movie is directed by Aashiq, Shinu and Salman.

At that time, activists of the Hindu organisation also protested the display of green and red flags of the Muslim League and the Students’ Federation of India outside the Temple. Due to opposition from Hindus, the Police shifted the film producers to another place. Activists Srijeet, Sachchidanandan, Subrahmanyam, Babu and Sabrish have been arrested in the case. They have been accused of mobilising people and inciting violence.

The film’s writer Salman Faris said that they had taken the temple management’s verbal permission for the shooting, and it was decided to pay Rs 3000 per day. BJP District President E. Krishnadas said, ‘The film shooting was not approved by the temple management or Devaswom Board. The scenes of the movie are meant to hurt the religious sentiments of the devotees. Hence ‘Neeyam Nadi’ film will always be opposed.

The executive officer of the Valiyayamkunnu Bhagwati Temple said that he was not aware that  the shooting was allowed at the temple premises. The temple management is considering filing a petition in this case.
