Crores of rupees are spent during elections in India. It is a known fact that Political parties openly distribute cash as incentive among voters; but it is a shame that no punitive action has ever been taken on any party or candidate
Chennai (Tamil Nadu) – Tamil Nadu Assembly polls concluded on 6 April. A whopping Rs 428 crores worth of assets in cash and kind have been seized from the state so far since the announcement of the election said the Election Commission. This includes Rs. 225.5 crores in cash and precious metal like gold and silver worth Rs. 176.11 crores.
