Yati Narsinghanand’s comment draws ire of AAP MLA

New Delhi – Comments of Yati Narsinghanand, the Mahant of the Dasna Devi temple of, Ghaziabad regarding Islam and Prophet Mohammad given at a press conference held at Delhi Press Club have gone viral. Aam Aadmi Party MLA and Delhi Waqf Board President Amanatullah Khan issued a thinly veiled death threat calling for his beheading in which he said “We cannot tolerate such impertinence about our beloved Prophet Mohammad. This hateful insect should be awarded the most severe punishment by slitting his tongue and neck. But the law of the land does not permit us to do this, we have faith in the Indian constitution, and I want Delhi Police to take note of this.” AIMIM MP, Asaduddin Owaisi also ‘told’ the Delhi Police to perform their duty. Khan and Owaisi were reacting to the video circulated by the Press Club.

Taking to Twitter Owaisi said that “Insulting Prophet (SAW) is unacceptable. Can these criminals acting as religious teachers get over their unnatural fixation with Islam? For something that you do not like, you do spend a lot of time on it. I’m sure there’s enough in your own belief system that you can discuss.”

Tagging Delhi Police to his tweet he tweeted “This man is insulting Islam for the sole purpose of provoking violence against Muslims and your maun vrat is embarrassing. If you’ve forgotten your jobs, we can do a refresher course”.
