Tehsildar burns currency notes worth 15 to 20 lakhs to hide ill-gotten wealth

When a Tehsildar is found to possess currency worth lakhs of rupees, it becomes evident that the administration is steeped in corruption. In order to put an end to this corruption menace , it is necessary to impose harsh punishment on corrupt officials and staff!

Sirohi (Rajasthan) – Parbat Singh, a Revenue Inspector in Pindwada Taluk was caught red-handed by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) while he was accepting a bribe of Rupees 1 lakh. In connection with this incident, when the ACB team reached the house of Tehsildar Kalpesh Kumar Jain, he locked himself and burnt currency notes worth Rs 15 to 20 lakhs on a gas stove. B.L.Soni, DG ACB informed that Parbat Singh had provided information that Kalpesh Jain had asked to collect bribe from a contractor for awarding him a government contract.
