Shahajahanpur (UP) – A police officer here from Jalalabad police station raped a 35-year-old woman, who went to the police station to lodge a complaint of her gang rape. The woman was a resident of Madanpur area.

The victim told reporters that on 30th November while she was walking on her way to Madanpur 5 men came in a car and forcibly dragged her to a nearby field and raped her. She went to lodge a complaint in the Jalalabad police station. A police sub-inspector was present there. He however took her to his room and raped her again. After failing to get her FIR registered, she went to ADG, Bareilly Avinash Chandra. He has ordered an investigation into this matter.
