A case of a judge, alleged of sexual harassment of female lawyers and workers

Kolkatta High Court’s former judge C.S.Karnan arrested

Chennai (Tamil Nadu) – Kolkatta High Court’s former judge C.S.Karnan was arrested by the Police here. In this connection, he is accused of passing vulgar remarks on female judges, lawyers and workers of Supreme Court and High Court. In a video clip, the former judge Karnan has also mentioned the names of some of the lady victims. After a complaint filed by a lawyer of Madras High Court, on 27^th October the cyber-crime wing of Chennai Police registered the crime against him. Karnan was arrested in a case earlier also during his term as a judge.

According to the Police some advocates of Madras High Court have written a letter to the Chief Justice Sharad Bobde of the Supreme Court in which they have mentioned about a video. In the video, Karnan was making objectionable remarks against women. He was threatening judiciary people and has given rape threat to spouses of judges.
