On the one hand, Uttar Pradesh Government is enacting a law against ‘Love Jihad’, on the other hand, the Police are infringing the same law. Will this ever check the religious fanatics ?

Bhadohi (U.P.) – A Muslim youth named Shahid had abducted a minor girl by luring her in love. He was released on bail after being arrested in the case. When he came out, he kidnapped the girl again.
Since the parents of the girl insisted that the girl was minor, the Police refused to accept it. As a result, they did not apply POSCO Act while arresting Shahid and hence he got the bail and came out. Taking disadvantage of this, he again abducted the girl. Still, no case has been registered against him under the POSCO Act. The girl’s parents alleged that there was collusion between the Police and medical officers investigating the age, and hence they have certified the age of the girl as 18 to 20 years.
