It is possible only in India where an accused is given the charge of education or any other ministry.

Patna (Bihar) – Bihar’s newly formed Government has rolled out the cabinet berths after swearing-in ceremony of the Ministers. Following the roll-out, the Government is facing widespread criticism for allotting Education Ministry to JD(U)’s Mewalal Choudhary, an ex-teacher. He was accused for irregularities in the recruitment process of assistant professors and junior scientists in 2012, while he was Vice Chancellor of Sabour Agricultural University. A criminal case regarding this matter was registered in Sabour Police station in 2017. The Court had granted him interim bail to Choudhary in the case. However, chargesheet has not yet been submitted against him. Owing to his background, the Government is facing flak for appointing Choudhary as an Education Minister.
