Kannur (Kerala) – Some people were injured in the bomb explosion that occurred in Ponniam area. Those injured were CPI (M) activists, who were making the bomb. They have been admitted to the hospital for treatment. The Police have recovered some ‘steel bombs’ from the scene of the incident.

Ponniam and its surroundings are considered as the stronghold of the CPI (M). Earlier also, such incidents of bomb explosions had come to the fore in which CPI (M) activists were injured.
