New Delhi – Prime Minister Narendra Modi today addressed the nation on the occasion of the 6th International Day of Yoga. He said the seeker who performs Yoga do not lose courage even in perilous times. PM Modi urged people, in a video message, to observe the day from the confines of their homes due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
PM Narendra Modi further said:
- International Day of Yoga gives a message of universal brotherhood; Yoga brings people together
- It is a day to increase our family bonding
- Many people all over the world infected by COVID-19 are benefitting from Yoga, they are getting the strength in fighting the disease. Pranayam is a breathing exercise that helps us in strengthening the lungs. Pranayam should be a part of your daily routine.
- Efficiency in Action is Yoga. Yoga gives bliss even when you are very busy. Such an individual remains unperturbed even during favourite or bad times, success or defeat, happiness or peril. This is Yoga.
