Thiruvananthapuram (Kerala) – In Mallapuram, some miscreants fed a pineapple filled with firecrackers to a pregnant elephant. It died along with the unborn calf after the firecrackers burst in the elephant’s stomach. Forest officers posted this incident on social media which created a huge uproar. When the elephant came to the village in search of food miscreants fed a pineapple filled with firecrackers. Later the firecrackers burst in the elephant’s stomach injuring it badly. By the time the rescue team reached the spot the elephant had succumbed to death.
