Meerut (Uttar Pradesh) – In Daurala – Lahiya, Shakib, a religious fanatic married a Hindu girl, Ekta. He, along with family members persuaded Ekta to have a cold drink mixed with a sedative. When she was unconscious, they killed her and cut her into pieces. They disposed of the head, limbs, and legs in a lake and discarded her body in the jungle. Police investigations have brought it to light after one year.
Ekta visited a Tantrik, Shakib to consult him about her health issues. Shakib started a love affair using a Hindu alias as Aman. She eloped with Rs 15 lakhs, 150 grams of gold and married Shakib. Later he killed her and took the money and gold. Shakib was using her mobile after her death. He kept in touch with her family members through WhatsApp and replied to Facebook posts from her family members as a result of which her family members assumed she was alive. On 20th May 2020, police contacted her family members and revealed the truth.
