Mig-29 aircraft of IAF has become a ‘Flying coffin’ ! There is no change in the situation despite the lapse of so many years.

Hoshiarpur (Punjab) – A MiG-29UPG of the Indian Air Force (IAF) from an airbase near Jalandhar crashed on 8th May. The pilot, however, ejected safely.

“On 8th May at 10.45 a.m., one MiG-29 aircraft airborne on a training mission from an Air Force base near Jalandhar met with an accident. The aircraft had developed a technical snag and the pilot ejected safely as he was unable to control the aircraft,” the IAF said. The pilot has been rescued by a helicopter, it added. A court of inquiry has been ordered. (Such inquiries are held after the crash of every aircraft; however, the people are kept in dark about the conclusions drawn from such inquiries, what preventive actions are taken and how the aircraft are met with the accident despite having taken all the preventive measures. – Editor) MiG-29 is a Russian made aircraft; more than 60 such aircraft are with IAF.
