India to buy 26 more Rafale fighter jets from France

New Delhi – The Indian Government will once again buy Rafale fighter jets from France. Contract negotiations are scheduled to begin this week. 26 Rafale fighter jets, valued at Rs 50,000 crore, are to be used for the Indian Navy. Earlier India had purchased 36 fighter jets from France for the Air-Force.
Currently, China is continuously increasing its presence in the Indian Ocean. Therefore, there is a need to strengthen the Indian Navy. The Indian Navy will operate the Rafale jets from its two aircraft carrier ships.
