Dhule (Maharashtra) – A Muslim youth was found making some suspicious moves during ‘Hindu Rashtra (Nation) Jagruti Sabha’, a public meeting organised by Hindu Janajagruti Samiti. On searching the youth, it was found that he was carrying a sharp cutter. He was then immediately handed over to the Police officers present at the venue.

‘T Raja Singh, BJP MLA from Hyderabad, who was the main speaker for the meeting has been receiving death threats for a long time, and it is suspected that this Muslim youth has some links with the threats. The Police must conduct a thorough investigation in this regard and take legal action against the youth’ demanded Hindu Janajagruti Samiti.

The armed Muslim youth entered the venue in the disguise of a Hindu. However, as soon as he entered, he promptly wiped off the vermilion on his forehead and headed towards the stage. He was stopped by some volunteers after realising that his movements were suspicious. He initially refused to disclose his identity, but later told his name was ‘Babu Sheikh’ to the Police after the arrest.

It is surprising that neither the metal detector near the entrance nor checking by the Police could catch that the youth was carrying a lethal weapon. This shows that some religious fanatics are trying to create an atmosphere of unrest in Dhule, which is calm even when there is tension elsewhere in the State.
