The control of the Trinamool Congress over ‘Shri Shri Radha Govind Temple’ was removed by the BJP.

Birbhum (West Bengal) – Soon after the BJP came to power in West Bengal, it transferred All India Trinamool Congress’ control over the Bhog Ghar of the Sri Sri Radha Govind Temple back to the temple committee with the assistance of BJP workers and local residents. The temple is located at Rampurhat in Birbhum district, in which, Trinamool Congress party office was being operated.

This temple had been established in 1990 through contributions collected from local residents. For a long time, it has remained a major centre of faith for devotees. Subsequently, construction of a Bhog Ghar adjacent to the temple had begun. Some TMC workers halted the construction work, took control of the site and started operating a party office there.

Editorial Perspective

Action should be taken against the Trinamool Congress goons who had taken control of the temple, and they should be punished!
