Car attempts to run over pedestrians in Italy

Modena (Italy) – A four-wheeler rammed into a crowd in Modena, Italy, injuring at least 8 people. Among them, 4 are said to be in critical condition. After the incident, the accused tried to flee and, during the escape attempt, attacked a person with a knife.

The Police later arrested him. He is said to be a 30-year-old man of North African origin. The Mayor of Modena stated that preliminary investigation suggests that it appears to have been a deliberate attack.

Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni described the incident as extremely serious and expressed sympathy to the injured victims and their families.
