“Hand over all Hindu Temples in the country to Hindus” : Demand by VHP to the Govt

“Churches and mosques are not under government control, so why only temples?” – Question posed to the government by General Secretary Milind Parande

Mr. Milind Parande (in the middle)

Shirdi, Maharashtra – All Hindu temples in the country should be handed over to Hindus. Managing temples is neither the job of the government nor the courts. “No church or mosque is under government control, so why are only Hindu temples being government-controlled?” asked Milind Parande, Central Organization General Secretary of the Vishva Hindu Parishad. He was speaking to the media in Shirdi.

Hindus will manage temples themselves !

Milind Parande said that various Hindu organizations across the country have united around the idea that “Hindus themselves will manage Hindu temples.” He said they are meeting Members of Parliament and Chief Ministers across the country to create awareness on this issue. By the end of this year, public representatives will raise the issue of “temple liberation” in Parliament and state legislatures.

The Country Needs a “Freedom of Religion Law” to Stop “Love Jihad”

Parande further stated that incidents of “Love Jihad” are being carried out in a planned manner by a particular section in the country. He said Hindu society needs to become capable of resisting this. He also demanded a complete ban on foreign funding received by missionaries for religious conversions.

He said parliamentary figures show that last year ₹18,000 crore was given to missionaries under the FCRA (Foreign Contribution Regulation Act). According to him, this money is being used against Hindu Dharma and should be banned. He also demanded that every state pass legislation for the protection of religion and that BJP-ruled states press for the implementation of the “Freedom of Religion Law” across the entire country.

Political Change in Bengal Beneficial for National Security

Expressing happiness over the BJP coming to power in Bengal for the first time, he said that the welfare of Hindus is in the national interest. He claimed that illegal Bangladeshi infiltrators had created a major internal security issue in Bengal. According to him, with a government aligned with Hindutva ideology now in power there, the country’s borders and security will become stronger.
