Sant Kabir Nagar (Uttar Pradesh) – The administration has begun demolishing the illegal madrasa named “Al-Huda”. This madrasa is associated with British Maulana Shamsul Huda Khan. Serious allegations have been made against him, including receiving illegal foreign donations and having links with Pakistan. The construction had been carried out without getting any official building plan approved.

In this regard, the concerned department had issued a notice on 13 January 2026. Despite this, the required documents to legalize the construction were not submitted. Upon inspection, the construction was found to be in violation of regulations, and orders were issued for its demolition.

To stop this action, Maulana Shamsul Huda Khan approached the High Court; however, the court dismissed his petition. After failing to get relief from the court, the district administration began the bulldozer action.

Sub-Divisional Magistrate Hriday Ram Tripathi stated that serious allegations had been made against the Maulana, which are currently under investigation. The demolition will continue until the madrasa is completely brought down.
