A Muslim actor from Kerala pressured a Hindu actress to consume beef

Thiruvananthapuram (Kerala) – A video circulating on social media allegedly shows Malayalam film actor Shiyas Kareem pressuring his close friend and actress Anumol Anukutty to consume beef. The video is said to be from a social gathering where both individuals were present.

In the video, Shiyas Kareem is seen repeatedly urging Anumol Anukutty to eat beef. She clearly states that she is on a diet and therefore cannot eat it. Despite this, he continues to insist, after which the actress walks away. When she refuses, Shiyas Kareem is heard making a remark, asking, “Are you a supporter of the BJP ?”

As of now, neither party has issued any official statement regarding the incident. However, the video has sparked widespread discussion on social media, with many users criticising Shiyas Kareem. He has previously been involved in controversy; in 2023, a woman accused him of rape, following which he was arrested. He is currently out on bail.
