Mumbai – Jainism is an integral part of the original Hindu culture. After the Mughals and the British, the Congress fractured the Hindu society with the crooked policy of ‘divide and rule’. Now the time has come for the Jain community to come to the mainstream by abandoning the slave mentality and status named ‘minority’, roared the State Cabinet Minister Mangal Prabhat Lodha with Hindu pride. He was speaking in an interview to a daily.
He said,

1. The Jain community, which was once around 22 to 23 per cent in South India, has now come down to just 3 per cent. This is not just a statistic, but the result of a larger political conspiracy.
2. Despite many castes in the Muslim community, the Congress kept them united; However, weakened Hindu society by compartmentalising them into caste and religion.
3. If there is a broad consensus among the society, then the necessary legal process will be implemented to remove the Jain community from the ‘minority’ status. Like the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi movement, there is a historical need to reinforce the feeling of ‘We Hindus’ once again.
4. Jain community, which has given the message of non-violence and humanity to the world, to separate them from Hindu Dharma is a cultural betrayal.
5. The time has come to remove the label of ‘minority’ imposed for political gains. The worship rituals of Jains may be different; but the cultural roots are grounded in Hindu Dharma.
