Terrorists rape poor women in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir

Revelation by Pakistani Maulana Mufti Saeed Khan

(Maulana refers to a scholar of Islam, while Mufti refers to one who delivers judgments under Sharia law)

Muzaffarabad (Pakistan-occupied Kashmir) — Prominent cleric Maulana Mufti Saeed Khan has stated that women in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir are being exploited by jihadist terrorists operating there. He said that Pakistan-backed terrorists are systematically exploiting women.

He made this revelation during a programme titled “Kashmir and Our Hypocrisy.” He explained that one of the darker aspects of militancy in Kashmir is that terrorists are often glorified as “mujahideen” (those fighting jihad) or religious warriors. However, in reality, they force helpless female refugees into sexual relations, sometimes in exchange for basic necessities such as food.

Who is Mufti Saeed Khan?

Mufti Saeed Khan is associated with the Deobandi ideology and is considered close to former Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan.

What do Indian intelligence agencies say ?

According to Indian intelligence agencies, Khan’s statement may be seen as a rare admission emerging from within Pakistan’s religious and political establishment. It significantly challenges the long-standing narrative of “pure jihad” promoted by Pakistan.

Sources further stated that the remarks point towards a proxy war strategy in which ISI (Inter-Services Intelligence)-backed armed terrorists have been exploiting local populations. The statement also lends support to various international human rights reports.

Editorial Perspective

If those terrorists who claim to be waging jihad with weapons to secure alleged rights for Muslims in Kashmir are themselves committing atrocities against women, it exposes the reality of the entire campaign.
