Kalaburagi (Karnataka) – Pramod Muthalik, founder-president of Sri Ram Sena, remarked that although Kumbhakarna from mythology slept for six months and remained awake for the remaining six, Hindus continue to remain inactive despite facing repeated challenges.
He expressed this concern while presiding over the inauguration of the district committee and the oath-taking ceremony of newly appointed office bearers at Kadaganchi Math in the city.
Muthalik further stated,
1. Following the death of Iran’s President, Muslims in Allipur of Chikkaballapur district staged a protest. This is an act of disloyalty to the nation. In the event of an Iran–India conflict, such actions indicate where their loyalties may lie,” alleged Pramod Muthalik.
2. He further stated that incidents of stone-pelting and footwear being hurled at Hindu processions—such as those dedicated to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and Ganesha—have occurred. Referring to the Pahalgam attack, in which 26 Hindus were reportedly killed, he added that Hindu youth and women are being targeted through so-called “love jihad,” yet the community remains inactive.
3. For the past 21 years, Sri Ram Sena has been working to organize and awaken Hindu society,” he said.
4. Referring to a route march conducted by the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh in Chittapur, he criticized Karnataka minister Priyank Kharge without naming him directly, stating that issues such as gambling, murder, extortion, and robbery in the constituency were being overlooked.
5. A total of 121 cases have been registered against me. Even if a thousand cases are filed, my voice cannot be suppressed. It is unfortunate that the tradition of weapon worship in our religion is gradually declining,” he said.
