Dispur (Assam) – In the backdrop of the upcoming assembly elections in Assam, AIUDF chief Badruddin Ajmal has made a provocative statement. He has said that ‘Miya dadagiri’ (dominance of Bangladeshi Muslims) will prevail in Assam after the elections.

Earlier, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma had said that in the last 5 years, his government has broken the hands and legs of Bangladeshi Muslims and in the next 5 years, their backbone will be broken. In the backdrop of this statement made by Chief Minister Sarma about Bangladeshi Muslims, Ajmal has expressed his intention to give free hands to Bangladeshi Muslims in Assam by making the above statement.

Ajmal further said that after the election results are out, the situation will completely change. In the coming time, the Miya community will become dominant in Assam and their ‘dadagiri’ will prevail. Also, Himanta Sarma’s influence will end, and he will have to leave Assam and go to New Delhi.

Editorial Perspectives

  • Voters should teach a lesson through upcoming elections to those who opened the doors of Assam to Bangladeshi Muslims.
  • Such people and their parties who openly challenge Indian security should be banned from contesting elections for life.
