Bengaluru (Karnataka) – Karnataka Assembly Speaker U.T. Khader adjourned the Assembly and left, saying that he would not conduct the proceedings until the concerned Ministers and Secretaries gave an explanation why they did not respond in writing to the questions raised by the MLAs. Khader’s action has caused a big embarrassment to the Government. Speaker Khader was very angry at the stand taken by the Ministers and the Government. The Speaker had been repeatedly advising the Government to provide written responses. Still, on March 16th, out of 230 questions, only 84 were answered by the Government.
