Why No Prior Arrangements Made to Maintain LPG Supply : Congress President questions the Government

New Delhi – On 16.03.2026, during the budgetary session in Rajya Sabha, the opposition parties tried to take the Government to task on the issue of LPG gas cylinders. Congress national president Mallikarjun Kharge stated that the petroleum minister claimed in Lok Sabha that there was no shortage of LPG in the country; however, the facts are proving the Government’s claims wrong. Had the Government made alternative arrangements anticipating the crisis in time, the situation would not have been so bad.

BJP MP Kangana Ranaut appealed while answering to the agitations staged by the opposition parties, that they were unnecessarily spreading fear on this issue. She also appealed to the people of the country to have faith in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership.
