
Bengaluru – The city Police have launched a major drive to trace foreign nationals residing illegally in the city. As part of this operation, more than 200 infiltrators have been taken into custody. Why must the authorities wait for a special drive to take such action ? – Editor) Among those taken into custody, more than 124 are Bangladeshi nationals.

1. This drive was carried out with the assistance of officials from the Foreign Regional Registration Office (FRRO).
2. During the investigation, many of them were found to possess fake Aadhaar cards, PAN cards, and residential documents showing local addresses.
3. They were posing as local residents and working as labourers in various parts of the city. Raids were conducted in several areas, including Varthur, Kadugodi, and other parts of the eastern zone of Bengaluru. The Police stated that the drive will continue.
