  • Press conference on ‘Love Jihad’ held in Hubballi

Hubballi (Karnataka) – Several Hindu girls have been going missing across the country and the State, and it is suspected that many of them are being targeted for ‘Love Jihad’. In view of this, a strict law against ‘Love Jihad’ should be enacted in the country, demanded Pramod Muthalik, Chief of Sri Ram Sena.

He made this demand while addressing a press conference in Hubballi regarding alleged cases of ‘Love Jihad’. He further alleged that ‘Love Jihad’ is not merely about romantic relationships, but part of a larger conspiracy aimed at making India into an Islamic nation.

At the programme organised under the leadership of Pramod Muthalik, some Hindu girls who had escaped from the alleged ‘Love Jihad’ trap shared their experiences. One of the victims stated that Muslim youths often lure Hindu girls into relationships through sweet talk and deceptive assurances.

Victim girls narrate their experiences

Speaking at the press conference, some Hindu girls said that Muslim youths initially befriend them and gradually develop closeness through polite and affectionate behaviour. Later, they assure them saying, “If you marry me, you will not have to convert to Islam. You will not even have to wear a burqa. You will live happily like a queen.”

“They tried to influence us with sweet talks and gradually manipulate our thoughts. Their words created resentment in our minds towards our parents and family members. However, we later realised that it was all deception. Eventually, we managed to free ourselves from the ‘Love Jihad’ trap,” said the girls, while expressing their anguish.

During the press conference, while referring to the murder of Neha Hiremath, her father Niranjan Hiremath alleged that ‘Love Jihad’ is being carried out in a systematic and organised manner.

He further claimed that the accused in the murder of Neha Hiremath are being given VIP treatment in the prison and are even being served biryani, while justice has still not been delivered to his daughter. He demanded that the case be handed over to the Central Bureau of Investigation or the National Investigation Agency for investigation.
