Kodagu (Karnataka) – After the brutal murder of a minor Hindu youth in Shivamogga, another serious incident has surfaced in Kodagu district. RSS worker Gautam was allegedly attacked by religious fanatics while campaigning for the ‘Hindu Sangam’ programme in Napoklu. He sustained severe injuries and has been admitted to hospital, where his condition is reported to be critical. The incident has created tension in the area. Serious allegations have also been raised that the son of an influential local Congress leader was involved in the attack.

Following the incident, activists of Hindu organisations staged a road blockade in Napoklu town and later launched a dharna outside the Napoklu police station, demanding the immediate arrest of all those responsible. Police have taken one accused into custody so far. Protesters have declared that the agitation will continue until every accused person is arrested.
