New Delhi – India has strongly condemned the airstrikes carried out by Pakistan on Afghan territory during the holy month of Ramzan. It has been stated by the Ministry of External Affairs that civilians lost their lives in the attacks, including women and children.
Pakistan claimed that the strikes were aimed at terrorists. However, the Afghan government stated that this claim is false and that several innocent civilians were killed in the attacks.
Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said that Pakistan carried out the strikes to divert public attention from its internal problems. India has expressed full support for Afghanistan’s sovereignty, territorial integrity and independence.
