Pakistan’s airstrike on alleged terrorist camps in Afghanistan, 17 killed

Kabul (Afghanistan) – The Taliban Government of Afghanistan has warned that Pakistan will be given ‘appropriate response’ and Afghanistan will avenge Pakistani air strike. The Pakistani Air Force carried out airstrikes on alleged terrorist camps in Afghan provinces bordering Pakistan, killing 17 members of a family.
Taliban Government spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid said, “This act of Pakistan is condemnable. We will surely retaliate. Pakistan has violated the airspace. Therefore, Afghanistan has the full right to take retaliatory action. When the right time comes, we will give a response to Pakistan.”
Pakistan’s Information Minister Attaullah Tarar said that Pakistan also targeted an affiliate of the Islamic State group. The group had claimed responsibility for the recent attack on a mosque in Islamabad, which killed 31 people and injured more than 160. It was one of the deadliest attacks on Islamabad since the 2008 Marriott Hotel bombing.
