There was demand for various items ranging from condoms to other related products.
Reports show a massive surge in the sale of contraceptives and sexual products ahead of Valentine’s Day.

1. According to a report by Instamart, in the year 2026, sales of sexual health products in India increased threefold compared to the previous year. Items that were once considered taboo are now among the highest-selling products through online platforms.
2. On the occasion of Valentine’s Day, along with sexual health products, there was also significant sales growth in the beauty and self-care categories. A customer from Cuttack in Odisha purchased makeup products worth ₹15,093. An individual from Surat in Gujarat spent ₹10,845 on hair care, bath, and body care products.
3. There was also a significant increase in the sale of Valentine’s Day cards. In Bengaluru, sales were higher than in Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, and Chennai.
