Paris (France) – A 79-year-old retired teacher from France named Jacques Levougle is accused of raping and sexually abusing 89 minors from India, Germany, Switzerland, Morocco, Niger, Algeria, the Philippines, Colombia and France from 1967 to 2022. Public prosecutor Etienne Manto, in the city of Grenoble, while making the case public has appealed to victims to come forward and report.
Jacques Levougle worked as a French language teacher and speleology instructor. He would go to meet the children where ever they were and seduce them into sexual relationship. The victims were aged between 13 and 17. Charges on Jacques Levougle were confirmed in 2024. He has been in custody since then. He also admitted to killing his own ailing mother and elderly aunt. He killed his cancer-stricken mother in the 1970s, and also murdered his 92-year-old aunt in the 1990s.
