Congress is concerned only about Bangladeshi infiltrators !

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma criticises Congress

Rahul Gandhi and Himanta Biswa Sarma

Guwahati (Assam) – Congress is concerned only about illegal Bangladeshi infiltrators and not about the interests of the indigenous people of Assam. Gaurav Gogoi, a Congress MP, and Rahul Gandhi cannot do anything to harm me. At present, the situation for the people of Assam is extremely sensitive. A question has arisen over their very existence in the state, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma of the BJP government said while criticising Congress.

In information shared on ‘X’, Chief Minister Sarma wrote that the demographic invasion of Assam, taking place quietly and through deceit, could lead to damage to strategically important districts of the state. These are the court’s own words. The growing number of illegal immigrants is turning some districts of the state into Muslim-majority areas. After this, demands may be raised for their merger with Bangladesh, which will only be a matter of time. Damage to Assam would sever the entire North-Eastern region from the rest of India, and the region’s rich natural resources would slip out of the nation’s hands. Acknowledging this problem is neither fanaticism nor hatred.

The term “Miya Muslim” is not mine !’

On the controversy surrounding the term ‘Miya Muslim’, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said that he did not coin the term and that it is used by the community that migrated and settled from Bangladesh. The Supreme Court itself has used this term.

‘This is contempt of court !’ – Congress MP Gaurav Gogoi

Responding to the Chief Minister’s statement, Congress MP Gaurav Gogoi said that Chief Minister Sarma is misusing the name of the Supreme Court to justify his statements. Linking the language of an executive report to the Supreme Court amounts to contempt of court.
