Shriram Janmabhoomi complex to be developed as a “Religious Complex”

Construction of seven new temples in the final stage

Ayodhya (Uttar Pradesh): The entire Shriram Janmabhoomi area in Ayodhya is being developed in a comprehensive and inclusive manner as a large religious complex. The Shriram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust has finalised plans to construct seven new temples within the surrounding and open them for devotees. Construction of these temples is progressing rapidly.

These seven temples will be dedicated to prominent figures and sages from the Ramayan era. They include temples of Maharshi Valmiki, Maharshi Vashishta, Maharshi Vishwamitra, Maharshi Agastya, Nishadraj, Mata Shabari and Devi Ahilya. According to the Trust, through these temples an effort is being made to honour every episode of the Ramayan and every section of society. As a result, devotees will get a complete Ramayan darshan experience.

Recruitment of new priests for worship rituals

To ensure regular worship rituals and smooth darshan arrangements in these temples, the Trust has decided to recruit new priests. Approximately 50 new priests will be appointed in the Shriram Temple complex in the near future. The aim is to complete the recruitment process before the subsidiary temples become operational, so that all religious rituals can be conducted smoothly. At present, 20 priests are serving in the Ram Temple. After the new subsidiary temples become functional, 42 priests will be required for worship conducted in three shifts. In addition, 8 extra priests will be appointed for the Sapta Mandapam and Kuber Tila areas.
